The treatment of Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) has known an important evolution in the last years. An important limitation of current endovascular therapy remains the occurrence of restenosis. In order to minimize restenosis rates, Drug-Eluting Technologies (DET) are evolving. The use of drug-eluting stents (DES) in coronary arteries shows beneficial results, leading to investigation of DES in PAD.

In this web symposium, we give an overview of current available data on PAD treatment with drug eluting technologies.
Through video cases performed by expert operators, discover techniques and devices to improve the use of DET in your daily practice.

Program

  • Debate with our experts : How Drug Eluting Technologies will revolutionize your practice?
  • 1st case : Calcified left SFA - Double access ( Antegrade + Retrograde)

  • How to use DET based on clinical data review in 2016? – Lecture by Dr Thomas Zeller
  • 2nd case : Polystenotic calcified right SFA Antegrade approach - DES and DEB combination therapy

  • Eluvia, designing a revolutionary drug eluting stent for SFA interventions – Lecture by Jaydeep Kokate
  • 3rd case : Short left superficial femoral artery Eluvia stenting

  • My experience in DET : indications and algorythm - Lecture by Dr Koen Deloose

Educational objectives

  • Discuss current trends and approaches to the treatment of PAD with the use of DET, in terms of patient’s outcomes
  • Demonstrate advanced techniques and new drug eluting technologies in the treatment of peripheral artery disease
  • Provide platform for discussion and mutual learning

Audience

  • Endovascular specialists (Vascular Surgeons, Interventional Radiologists, Interventional Angiologists and Interventional Cardiologists)
  • Referring physicians of patients with peripheral artery disease
