Dansk Forening for Interventional Radiology, DFIR is a nonprofit association for doctors and other professionals, interested and engaged in interventional radiology. Interventional radiology is recognized as an independent radiological subspecial under the UEMS (European Union of the Medicine Specialists).
DFIR establishes a collegial network and organizes meetings and courses every year where knowledge, experience and ideas can be exchanged for the further development of interventional radiology in Denmark.
DFIR supports education and research within the thesis and allocates $ 7,000 per year to one or more younger doctor(s) with special interest in the subspecial.
